AI Policy

At teamecho, we use artificial intelligence responsibly and transparently. Our aim is to design AI functions such as automated summaries (“key insights”) in such a way that they support people – not replace them. In doing so, we adhere to the requirements of the EU AI Regulation (AI Act) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Transparency and control

Our AI-generated content is clearly marked as such. Users always know when a text has been created by an AI – e.g. through a note in the tool or in the help section. Decisions are not made automatically: The responsibility always lies with managers and organizations.

Data protection and security

All AI functions in teamecho are designed to comply with data protection regulations:

• We process personal data only on the basis of the GDPR.
• No special categories of personal data are processed
• Data processing takes place in the EU, via Microsoft Azure.
• A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Microsoft is in place.

Human supervision

Our AI is designed to help people understand complex content more quickly. All AI results are to be understood as recommendations. Decisions on measures or interpretations remain with the users.

Area of application and limits

teamecho was developed to make moods and feedback visible – with the aim of supporting managers and organizations in their further development. Our system is not intended and may not be used to automate or influence decisions in an employment law context.

These include in particular

• the selection or assessment of applicants,
• Decisions on working conditions, promotions or dismissals,
• the assignment of tasks based on individual characteristics or behavioral data,
• and the systematic monitoring or evaluation of performance or behavior.

Such applications fall under the specially regulated areas of application in accordance with Annex 3, Section 4 of the EU AI Act.

We ensure that teamecho is neither technically designed for these purposes nor may it be used for these purposes. By using AI functions in teamecho, users undertake to comply with these limits.

Quality and prevention of abuse

We regularly review our AI functions:

• through internal reviews,
• through technical and organizational security measures,
• through monitoring and abuse prevention.

This is how we ensure that our AI remains trustworthy – and that feedback is always the focus at teamecho.
