Wiesner-Hager & teamecho

With an export quota of approx. 56% and 42 million euros in sales in the 2017 financial year, the Upper Austrian office furniture specialist Wiesner-Hager proves that companies with handshake quality can also achieve international renown.

The driving force behind the success are committed, self-reliant employees, who are treated with appreciation and trust. Since May 2016, teamecho has been helping to strengthen a culture of continuous feedback in sales.

Close to the team, even at a distance

Increasing efficiency and at the same time ensuring that employees feel comfortable in their working environment: These are the central tasks that Wiesner-Hager solves for its customers with its creative office and furniture concepts. It is hardly surprising that employee satisfaction is also a key priority in the company’s own operations. After all, a good working atmosphere is the basis for being able to concentrate fully on the customer.

“The biggest challenge in sales is certainly leading at a distance,” knows Ing. Karlheinz Preiml, Sales Manager of Wiesner-Hager Austria. “Wiesner-Hager has locations all over Austria, from Innsbruck to Vienna. I sometimes don’t see employees for months at a time. And that’s simply a matter of finding ways to communicate with each other and overcome the distance.”

How is the team really doing?

In order to keep an eye on the mood of remote employees, Wiesner-Hager has been using teamecho within its Austrian sales structure since May 2016. And Preiml now no longer wants to do without it:

“teamecho is my cloud assistant, so to speak, which gives me the mood of my employees at all times. It is a very important medium for me – keyword ‘leading from a distance’ – to see how my colleagues outside are doing at the moment. With teamecho, I can see precisely where there are to-dos and where certain things should be changed.”

Achieve more together

For the long-term success of companies, Preiml is certain that the most essential factor must not be forgotten: people. As a company rich in tradition, Wiesner-Hager pursues the goal of maintaining stability in its workforce. To achieve this, the company will need more young employees in the future, who first have to be found and then retained in the company for the long term.

Preiml elaborates: “Essentially, for us in particular as a traditional company, it’s about working with people who don’t keep the ashes, but pass on the fire. This is where teamecho supports us.”
